PSALM 23:1

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. (Psalms 23:1 KJV) The Lord is my Shepard. What a powerful statement. David is putting himself under the total control of God by calling Him Lord. He follows this with by calling Him a Shepard, his Guide. David knew all about shepherding, this is what he was. He knew how sheep would follow a shepherd anywhere, but blind trust in them. This is what David was did through out his life. This is what we should be doing. I know I don't always do this and it usually gets me in trouble. But I know He is my Shepard and will take care of me and guide me home.
